This eRumor suggests that God wiped out certain people for statements they made about him. Whether that is true is known only to God, but we can explore whether they really made the statements attributed to them.

FOR Christians and people of other religions, it is a known fact that the Lord God Almighty deserves to be highly honoured and revered.

Whether seriously or jokingly, no being, who knows God as God, dares to speak irreverently about Him or blaspheme as it is called.

But John Lennon, Tancredo Neves, Cazuza, Andrews, Marilyn Monroe, Bon Scott and Christine Hewitt, decided to mock God and they never lived to tell the story. For the Bible says in Galatians 6:7, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: For whatsoever a man sow, that shall he also reap.”

Who were these people?

 John Lennon

John Winston Ono Lennon was born a Christian on October 9, 1940 in Wotton, a suburb of Liverpool, England.

He was an English rock musician, singer-songwriter, author, and peace activist who gained worldwide fame as one of the founding members of the 60s rock band, The Beatles, which he founded along with Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. His favourite singer was Shirelles.

On March 4, 1966, Lennon was interviewed for the London Evening Standard by his friend, Maureen Cleave, and he made an off-the-cuff remark regarding Christianity.

“Christianity will go. It will vanish and shrink... I don’t know what will go first, rock ‘n’ roll or Christianity. We (The Beatles) are more popular than Jesus now. Jesus was all right, but his disciples were thick and ordinary. It’s them twisting it that ruins it for me,” he said.

The Beatles was later disbanded, although Lennon continued his musical career on his own.

On the evening of Monday, December 8, 1980, 40-year-old Lennon was shot four times on the back (the fifth shot missed) in the entrance hallway of the Dakota, with hallow-point bullets from a Charter Arms 38 revolver, by Mark David Chapman.

Lennon had autographed a copy of Double Fantasy for Chapman earlier that same night. Two shots struck Lennon on the left side of his back and two more on his left shoulder. All four wounds caused serious internal damage, and at least one of them pierced Lennon's aorta. Lennon staggered up the four steps to the security/reception area and said "I'm shot" and collapsed. Concierge John Hastings at first thought it was a joke but then summoned the police by hitting the silent alarm button.

Lennon was pronounced dead on arrival in the Emergency Room at the Roosevelt Hospital at 11:15 p.m. The cause of death was reported as hypovolemic shock, after losing more than 80 per cent of blood volume. The following day, December 9, 1980, a statement was issued by a famly member: "There is no funeral for John. John loved and prayed for the human race. Please do the same for him." Instead of a funeral, a 10-minute silence was observed worldwide the following Sunday, December 14, at 2p.m.

Chapman later pleaded guilty to second degree murder and was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment. He is still in prison, 27 years since his arrest, having been denied parole five times. (He became known to the surviving Beatles and their friends as "he whose name shall not be mentioned".)

Two days after his death, Lennon's body was cremated at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, New York. The ashes have been said to be sprinkled around Strawberry Fields, and is also in possession of Yoko Ono. Yoko Ono kept his bloodstained glasses after he died.

Tancredo Neves

The Brazilian government's strategy of controlling the election of the first civilian president in the 1985 electoral college almost received a mortal blow on April 25, 1984. On that day, the diretas já! constitutional amendment, which called for direct elections for president on November 15, 1984, came just 22 votes short of the necessary two-thirds majority (320 votes). In late June 1984, the Liberal Front dissident group split from the military government's DSP (Democratic Social Party) and joined the PMDB led by Governor Tancredo Neves (Minas Gerais). In the second half of 1984, massive rallies engulfed Brazil, as the Tancredo Neves-Sarney ticket consolidated its 300-vote margin over Paulo Maluf (DSP-São Paulo) in the January 1985 electoral college.

Sarney started politics in his home state of Maranhão in the late 1950s as federal deputy in the progressive wing of the National Democratic Union. A staunch supporter of the 1964 revolution, he was able to defeat the SDP (Social Democratic Party) political machine in direct elections for governor in 1965, and was elected senator by Arena (National Renewal Alliance) in 1970. The military government never quite accepted Sarney and vetoed his attempts to return to the governorship seat in 1974 and 1978. He was also passed over several times for the presidency of the senate and for the post of minister of justice in 1980. As a consolation prize, he became president of the SDP. In 1984, Sarney was one of the dissident leaders of the SDP, and he became Tancredo Neves's running mate.

During the presidential campaign, Neves said if he got 500,000 votes from his party, not even God would remove him from the Presidency.Sure, he got the votes, but he became sick a day before being made President, then he died.

Sarney was first sworn in as Vice President and then Acting President within a very loose interpretation of the constitutional norms for presidential succession.

Thomas Andrews:

Thomas Andrews was the builder of Titanic. He was known to be very particular about details and as the ship went on its voyage, he kept on taking notes on what should be improved about the ship. After the construction of the Titanic, a reporter asked Andrews, how safe the Titanic would be. With an ironic tone he said: "Not even God can sink it". We all know of what became of the ship.

Cazuza:

During a show in Canecão (Rio de Janeiro ), Cazuza, a bi-sexual Brazilian composer, singer and poet, while smoking his cigarette, puffed out some smoke into the air and said: God, that's for you.

He died at the age of 32 of lung cancer in a horrible manner.

Marilyn Monroe:

She was visited by Billy Graham during the presentation of a show. Graham is a preacher and evangelist and the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her.

After hearing what the preacher had to say, she said: "I don't need your Jesus".A week later, she was found dead in her apartment.

Bon Scott

He was a vocalist of the AC/DC. In 1979, he sang:”Don’t stop me; I’m going down all the way, down the highway to hell”.

On February 19, 1980, Scott was found dead, he had been choked by his own vomit.

Campinas

In Campinas,Brazil, a group of friends, drunk, went to pick up a friend.

The mother accompanied her to the car and was so worried about the drunkenness of her friends and she said to her daughter who was already seated in the car:

“My daughter, go with God and may He protect you.” She responded: “Only if He (God) travels in the trunk, cause inside here…It’s already full.”

Hours later, news came by that they had been involved in a fatal accident, everyone had died, the car could not be easily recognised, but surprisingly, the trunk was intact.

The police said there was no way the trunk could have remained intact. To their surprise, inside the trunk was a crate of eggs, none was broken.

Christine Hewitt

Hewitt was a Jamaican journalist and entertainer.

She said the Bible (Word of God) was the worst book ever written.

In June, 2006, she was found burnt beyond recognition in her car.

Many more important people have forgotten that there is no other name that has been given so much authority as the name of Jesus.

Many have died, but only Jesus died and rose again, and he is still alive.

Never doubt the Word of God!!!
