Did The Pope Invoke Lucifer On Sunday Mass?
By David Mills
Now the End Begins, the website mentioned in the previous item, really doesn’t like the Catholic Church. It’s an organ of the mean snarling wing of anti-Catholic fundamentalism. I normally don’t pay any attention to such groups, because why would you, but this, having read it while writing the other story, I pass on because it’s a scream: Pope Francis Invokes Lucifer During Easter Mass 2013.
Jesus was referred to as the Morning Star or LUCIFER in Latin in Romans Rite of Liturgy:
Flammas eius Lucifer matutinus invéniat
ille, inquam, Lucifer, qui nescit occásum
Christus Fílius tuus,
qui, regréssus ab ínferis, humáno géneri serénus illúxit,
et vivit et regnat in sæcula sæculórum.
May the Morning Star which never sets
find this flame still burning:
Christ, that Morning Star,
who came back from the dead,
and shed his peaceful light on all mankind,
your Son, who lives and reigns for ever and ever.
WATCH THE VIDEO:
Its flame dawning he, I say, O Lucifer, who does not know the going down thereof
Your Son, who, returning from hell, serenely shone forth upon mankind,
and now lives and reigns for ever and ever.
