Man Forced To Drink After Kids Laugh At His Nose
A 69 year old from Kommisdrift, near Botshabelo in the Free State is forced to hide in his home every afternoon when children return from school.
Tumelo Ramainoane, who has a deformed nose has been forced to drink and said: "It started years ago as a pimple. I went to a medical doctor hoping to be cured, but instead the pimple became even bigger."
He thought maybe he was bewitched and went to see a traditional healer who agreed his suspicions.
"The sangoma gave me bitter, smelly muthi to drink but the pimple still would not heal."
He said that he has already spent lots of money consulting different healers and medical doctors, hoping his problem would go away.
Some doctors told him he had cancer, but a traditional healer said he was bewitched by a jealous person who wanted to ruin his life.
Tumelo said he was tired of children laughing at him saying his nose is ugly and scary.
Cansa Care Centre sister Derina De Klerk said: "Cancer can be treated and there is always hope. Tumelo should go to the National District Hospital in Bloemfontein urgently. Blood tests and scans will determine the kind of cancer."
